Cookie statement
A cookie is a small parcel of text sent backwards and forwards between a web browser and a website. It is used in a number of ways and there are different types:
- Session cookie – lasts for the time you are using the website and is then deleted.
- Persistent cookie – lasts longer than this and is used to remember things about your access.
- Secure cookie - usually used if you are logging in and is encrypted.
- Third-party cookie - set by other services.
You can read more about cookies on the following sites: aboutcookies.org and allaboutcookies.org.
First-party cookies (those set by the site you are on) are used to distinguish between different users, or determine the relationship between the pages you visit. They differentiate one user from another and provide continuity. Normally they collect data about your browser, along with the information you request and send. Cookies in themselves do not identify individuals, but are defined by a combination of a computer, a user account, and a browser.
We do not use cookies to identify you personally. We use them to improve your experience using this site, including gathering usage statistics for management reporting purposes. We also use marketing cookies, so we can understand how you found out about this site.
We use third-party cookies from Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for collecting and monitoring internet log and visitor behaviour information, such as site visits, pageviews and search terms. We also monitor how you arrived at our site and where you leave it. Google privacy and opt out information can be found here.
You can control and delete cookies by:
